Finnur Sveinsson
Finnur Sveinsson holds a degree in Buisness Administration from the University of Iceland with an M.Sc. degree in Environmental Science from Gothenburg University in Sweden. He joined HS Orka at the end of 2020 as a business manager and leader of sustainability. He resided in Sweden for 12 years working as a consultant in the field of sustainability and social responsibility. Before joining HS Orka, he was an advisor on business management and environmental issues for Alcoa Fjarðaál and an expert in social responsibility at Landsbankinn. Finnur has been involved in numerous construction projects and projects in the field of sustainability in Iceland, including the construction of the first environmentally certified residential house in Iceland. He was the vice-chairman and chairman of Festa, a center for social responsibility, between 2011-2017. Since 2019 he has served as chairman of the board of Tún, an environment and sustainability certification organization.
